Swiss Ocean Tech with their AnchorGuardian® solution is one of 3 top finalists for the Monaco Smart Yacht Innovation Award competition
The Swiss Ocean Tech team is very proud to be a finalist at the Monaco Smart Yacht Innovation Award competition last week, initiated by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Solutions were chosen which “advance the progress of sustainability within the yachting industry”, as the organizer’s communicated.
For Swiss Ocean Tech’s Founder Thomas Frizlen, “the selection of our revolutionary solution, AnchorGuardian, is another confirmation of the uniqueness and sophistication we are bringing to this new market. Not only are we reinventing how the marine industry looks at anchoring, but we are bringing a level of safety for sailor, ship and sea never seen before. It is certainly a symbol of achievement for our young start-up having been chosen from a group of 150 companies and we are immensely proud.”
Frizlen added, “The focus of our efforts is safe anchoring. For that to succeed, the process has to become simpler. We are giving captains the information and control they need to set the anchor in the best possible way and to monitor it in real time while anchoring. We are taking the principle of anchor watch to the next level and moving from reactive to proactive anchoring.”
