We are pleased to share that AnchorGuardian has been named a winner in the Marine Technology (MarineTech) category of the 2026 Global Tech Awards.
The Global Tech Awards recognise innovation and excellence across a broad range of technology sectors. Season 1 of the 2026 programme attracted hundreds of entries from companies and professionals representing 10 countries, with 45 winners recognised across 37 technology categories.

Recognition for a new approach to anchoring
AnchorGuardian introduces direct monitoring to an area of maritime operations that has traditionally remained largely invisible once the anchor disappears below the water surface.
Installed within the anchoring arrangement, AnchorGuardian monitors the anchor itself rather than relying solely on vessel movement. Using sensor fusion and underwater communication, the system provides real-time information on anchor position, movement and behaviour, giving the captain earlier indication of a developing problem and more time to react.
This is what makes the technology fundamentally different. AnchorGuardian adds a digital monitoring layer to one of the maritime industry’s last largely unmonitored critical operations.
The Global Tech Awards evaluate Marine Technology entries across a range of criteria including safety and security, innovative design and engineering, data and connectivity, operational performance and industry impact. Judges also consider creativity, originality and the ability to overcome technical and market challenges.
